– Fluorescein-DHPE (N-(Fluorescein-5-thiocarbamoyl)-1,2-dihexadecanoyl-sn-glycero-3-phosphoethanolamine, triethylammonium salt) is a useful surface pH indicator and has also been used for measuring lateral diffusion in membranes via fluorescence photobleaching recovery method.
